Chlorophyll is well known as the pigment in plants which gives them their green color and plays a key role in the photosynthesis process where plants create energy from sunlight. Less known is that chlorophyll has potent antioxidant properties and contains numerous vitamins and minerals. These properties make it an effective supplement for a variety of health benefits including supporting healthy digestion, immune function, detoxification, as well as having some benefit as a weight loss supplement.

Double Wood’s Liquid Chlorophyll supplement is naturally extracted from Mulberry Leaves and uses an MCT oil base for improved absorption. Each bottle contains 120 50 mg servings.

As a general supplement for skin, immune, or digestive health we recommend taking 0.05 mL (1/2 a dropper, 50 mg) per day in an 8 oz drink. This dose can be increased to 0.10 mL (1 dropper, 100 mg) but we don’t recommend exceeding that dosage as side effects are more likely at higher doses.

Chlorophyll is well tolerated and side effects are rare at normal dosages, but more likely if the recommended dosage of 0.5 dropper / day is exceeded. The most common side effects associated with Chlorophyll is diarrhea or discoloration of the urine or stool. These latter two side effects are due to Chlorophyll’s strong color and don’t imply any adverse health effects from it.
