Sulforaphane is a natural plant compound commonly found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli or cauliflower and is taken as a supplement for cardiovascular and digestive benefits. When found in foods Sulforaphane is in the inactive form known as glucoraphanin. It becomes activated in a chemical reaction when it comes into contact with myrosinase, an enzyme which is released as a defense response in plants when they are damaged.

Our Sulforaphane is extracted from broccoli seeds and the extraction process activates the Sulforaphane so when it is taken as a supplement it is well absorbed and ready to take effect.

As a dietary supplement, we recommend taking two capsules (20 mg) of Sulforaphane per day with or without food. While higher doses can be taken safely we do not recommend exceeding four capsules (40 mg) per day.

Sulforaphane is very well tolerated and when taken at normal doses adverse side effects are extremely rare and mild. Side effects such as gas, constipation, and diarrhea have occasionally been reported.
